Uncertainty

--Gas prices are still high, even though they've come down a lot.
--The war is still raging, even though an end seems to be in sight.
--The economy is collapsing, even though the Dow has had a couple good days.
--We have an opportunity to elect a new president to change all these things, but both of the candidates stink.

Basically, the state of America is kind of scary right now. However, I have no fears. Its understandable why I have no fears: my car gets very good gas mileage, I am basically unaffected by the war, I'm too poor to notice the sinking economy, and I don't think that a single man has enough power to mess things up too much. However, the true reason that I have no fear is that my hope is found in Christ alone. He never promised that life would be easy, but he promised that he would take care of me. Neither I nor my family have ever had any reason to think that Christ does not care for us.
